subcommunities & activities

The following is the current list of subcommunities for creatives. all members are required to request and maintain membership to the introduction community (ohhi) and AT LEAST TWO other communities. You are free to join as many as you want! You can also get a feel for which ones you like and switch them up at any time, as long as you are consistently a member of two. Our emcee/coordinator journal producers will oversee major activities associated with each community and try to encourage and guide each one so that members feel comfortable making their own posts and starting their own game nights, movie nights, discussions, and anything else. That journal will contain a dropbox and/or info post for each community, clearly marked. ohhi: Our introduction community, which all members must join. discoveries: More than a traditional lyrics community, discoveries also features mixtape challenges and group playlist posts (think of them as music-themed ffas!). Post lyrics or share your playlists large or small. anything music-related counts for update credit. wellthen: The random community - home to all random posts, short discussions, Buzzfeed quizzes, guided free-for-alls, etc. A dropbox for creative thoughts is housed in producers, where members can submit their soundbites and secrets anonymously, and the emcee journal will post every 10 submissions. longreads: for members who like more substance in their discussion posts, this community is a place for serious talks - whether about current events or personal philosophies. This is also where monthly interviews with member of the month winners will be posted, as well as monthly writing prompts. pinballs: Our game and movie night community. All off-site activities go here, and you'll get update credit for each one you host or advertise. You can find all available group chats and regular scheduled activities in producers. plugs: want to post a trailer or talk about your character's work without putting it in an update? this community is for promotions, whether it's your own project or a friend's. use pictures and videos all you want. envelope: going to cannes? the met gala? the emmys? or just going to film in atlanta or london? this community is for event discussions and city meet-ups, whether you want to organize something ooc or simply talk about awards shows and festivals with everyone else who is going. The emcee journal will start a post on the night (or first night) of any major IRL celebrity gathering. **UPDATE PASSES are available for completing THREE (3) of the activities requiring more effort (writing challenges, mixtape challenges, interviewing a member of the month, and maybe more). You can mix and match!
